Thought for the day (life and what follows your final hour) Friday

Updated on September 3, 2016
The fantastic journey ahead
The fantastic journey ahead
Your spirit is free to go and do as you wish
Your spirit is free to go and do as you wish
Could this be the entrance to your Hell
Could this be the entrance to your Hell

Today perhaps we should give a little thought to our existence and what may follow.

As I approach the final chapters of my life I find I think a little more about what is yet to come rather than what has been. Age and ill health has slowed me but every day I discover something new and wonderful.

Don't think of this as morbid thoughts, but rather think that you are approaching an exciting new adventure, you are about to experience new things, places and feelings that no one on earth will have ever experienced before.

People often ponder is there anything to follow earthly life ? Many are happy that they will enter the Kingdom of Heaven; some are terrified that their past deeds will condemn them to their idea of Hell. Others think there is nothing - you are born and you die, nothing more nothing less.

As a scientist I know that all life forms are complex physiological and chemical organisms, our bodies function through chemical reactions all controlled by a network of minute electrical impulses generated by a barely understood fantastic powerhouse - the brain. If anyone doubts the existence of a higher power then they should just study life, man or animal. The most complex computers in the world are but a toy compared to workings of the body and brain.

Let me suggest the following to you, when we eventually die the physical body ceases to function; it has no further use and is no more than a husk to be blown on the wind. Our brain, however, or rather the electrical impulses that made us who we are and the repository of all that make us as we are, does not die it becomes an energy mass, it becomes free to move where and when it wishes. It is invisible, has no mass and takes up no space but the neurones continue to interact possibly even having the ability to do so with those who have previously passed over or perhaps are still living.

Hah ! Far-fetched nonsense you may say and I cannot prove otherwise to you. But as I have become older I fear the final journey less and less, don't misunderstand me, I've no wish to go anywhere yet, there is still too many things I want to do. To quote an overused phrase "there are only two certainties in life and that is taxes and death" Well, I've paid my taxes and now I want the promise of my new fantastic adventure.

Some have said that if there is really a heaven what do you do if you have loved several times?

Well, we no longer exist in a physical form we can simultaneously divide our time and feelings with each or all of our loved ones and they with us. There will be no jealousy, bitterness, conflict, pain or old age, our loved ones will appear to us exactly as we desire, we will be able to enjoy those beautiful times in perpetuity. If we wish it may even be possible for our energy to be granted the ability to enter a new life form and to experience physical form again.

Try to live your mortal life in the same way as you would visualise your ethereal form, in peace, happiness and contentment.

Do you fear the afterlife ?
