We sometimes feel that we desperately need to help those in distress or seriously il, particularly if it is a child or close friend/relative. Few of us are doctors but you may be surprised to know that we all have the ability, within us, to offer powerful healing.

What we are actually doing is transferring some of our inner strength and healing ability to those in need. For that reason it is ill-advised to do it if you are sick or weak yourself, you need to retain your own strength. This healing ability knows no distance and, for instance, a mother in one country can send powerful healing to their sick child or friend in another or anywhere to anywhere. Ideally, until you are more experienced, it is better to be with the person as they can feel your touch, warmth and power flowing into their body, calming and healing as it goes. It is beneficial to the giver as well as the receiver and has many similarities to Reiki.

Ideally, until you are more experienced, it is better to be with the person as they can feel your touch, warmth and power flowing into their body, calming and healing as it goes. It is beneficial to the giver as well as the receiver and has many similarities to powerful Reiki.

How is this done, you may be thinking? Well, each of us will have or develop their own method that feels right. I would suggest closing your eyes in a quiet warm room, with no distraction and visualising in your mind the affected area inside the person, it doesn't matter if you can't pinpoint the exact problem. If you are on your own, some find it useful to hold a teddy bear or something similar to help concentrate the mind. If the patient is with you there is no need to touch the area but sometimes the person will be reassured by the high heat from your hands. Don't rush, using your mind explore and seek out the cause of the problem, you need no medical knowledge and when you find it, perhaps, visualise it as a slow moving hot lava destroying the tissue. Concentrate your mind on the area and start to cover it with a silver, soothing and healing shield. Again don't rush, slowly and gently concentrate on covering every inch of this burning destroying mass. Never exhaust yourself as you can continue another day, but believe in yourself that you can help heal this problem or, at least, help soothe and allow the person to relax. My wife suffers from really nasty migraines and I use this technique to stop them, relax her and allow her to sleep. There is no limit to the types of problems you can tackle and you need no medical knowledge, however, do not use in place of conventional drugs or treatment - what you are offering is powerful but purely complementary. Never mislead the person into believing you can cure the disease or problem, this is possible but just reassure them that you may be able to help relieve their discomfort and make them feel better.

This healing method works just as well for animals as well as humans and cats and dogs seem particularly receptive. Again if your animals are ill or injured you must take them to a vet first and restrict your power to help them recover. I have witnessed this treatment given to animals and the results have been truly amazing.

Further information

If you would like to learn more about this healing method or Reiki then there are specific classes available in your area. Do not, however, claim that you can cure people or ask for money to try. This is both unethical and dishonest. There is nothing to stop you offering help on the basis that you may be able to make them more comfortable but do not raise their hopes that you alone can bring about a cure.

Do you believe in the healing power of the mind ?
